Summer is just around the corner, and that means so is your next vacation! Road trips are all the more popular in the summer. Warm breeze, sun shining, top down, and shades on! You may be more than ready for your vacation, but is your car?
Having your car’s fluid levels checked and topped off is a great way to ensure that it is road trip ready. Fluids like coolant, oil, power steering and brake are all very important to ensure the health of your car. While the fluids are being checked, it would also be beneficial to have your car’s belts and hoses looked at, as well as the tires. Tire pressure and rotation can be very important when it comes to long drives.
The Gilmore’s Auto Service inspection includes measuring vent air temperature; detecting Freon leaks in hoses, compressor seals, condensing unit, and evaporating unit; checking for external and internal blockages; and confirmation that pressure levels are correct in the air-conditioning system. The diagnosis takes 30 to 60 minutes, including a Freon recharge if necessary.
Making sure your car is ready before you head out on the road is definitely a precaution to think about. Having your entire car checked out can save you time and money in the long run, and give you peace of mind all throughout your vacation.
